By the end of 2024, it is expected that Congress will ratify the Department of Defense’s (DoD) Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) program. Contracts will begin to require compliance in 2025.

CMMC 2.1 is a unified standard for cybersecurity aimed at strengthening cyber defenses across the Defense Industrial Base (DIB).
